End of Year Fundraiser
Thursday, Dec. 6th - 5:00 PM - 7:30 pm
Rettinger Hall at the Newberry Library
60 W Walton St, Chicago, IL
We’ve had a very exciting and productive 2018, but it’s now time to start preparing for next year. There is a lot that we would like to accomplish in 2019, but we need your help!
This Fall we launched a new program that we hope to build upon for years to come and eventually expand on an international level. That program is the Traveling Classroom Exhibit. Since its launch in August, we have been able to send historical artifacts and primary source material to over 20 schools across the country, creating memorable and productive hands-on experiences with over 1,000 students of nearly every grade level, from early elementary to post-graduate.
We would like to focus our efforts and resources to expanding the program both in subject matter and availability nationwide. Our three themed exhibits, Classical Ancient World, Prehistoric Fossils and American Cartography have received great feedback from the teachers that used them. Our Classical Ancient World exhibit was our most utilized and it is obvious to us that we need to make another to keep up with demand. We would also like to add other subjects, such as the History of Money, Asian Art and Artifacts and Native American Cultures to name a few.
This program is free to teachers and we would like to keep it that way. With your help, we can continue to grow, provide this unique service for educators, and help create a more enriched learning experience for students across the country.
We ask that you join us this December 6th at the Newberry Library for an end of year fundraiser where hors d’ oeuvers, beer and wine will be available for all attendees. We will have each of our Traveling Classroom Exhibits on display as well as plans for future exhibits we hope to create in 2019.

If you cannot make it to the Newberry Library for our event, we humbly ask that you consider donating to our cause.
